On Wednesday, August 5th, physician-assisted suicide will become legal in New York State through the Medical Aid in Dying act (MAID). St. Bernard’s invites all to attend a Holy Hour on campus (with adoration, exposition, and benediction) from 12-1pm on Wednesday, August 5th. We offer this prayer in response to Bishop Bonnici’s beautiful invitation:
“Please join me in praying for our state, that we may turn away from what Pope St. John Paul II called the ‘Culture of Death’ and instead embrace a true Culture of Life. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, patron of a happy death, and St. John Fisher, patron of the Diocese of Rochester, may the Lord strengthen us to cherish every human life from conception until natural death.”
All are invited to join as we pray in hope, in reparation, and in desire for an increase in charity among all across our State.
