Bio

Amanda Achtman holds a Master's in John Paul II Philosophical Studies from the Catholic University of Lublin in Poland and a Licentiate in Judaic Studies and Jewish-Christian Relations from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. In addition to roles in journalism, public policy, and advocacy, Amanda worked on Parliament Hill in an effort to prevent the legislative expansion of euthanasia to persons living with disabilities or mental illness. She has participated in programs of the Acton Institute, the Hildebrand Project, the Tertio Millennio Seminar, the Tikvah Fund, and the Witherspoon Institute. Her writing has appeared in Public Discourse, Humanum, and Law & Liberty, among others. A frequent commentator on the bioethical issues of the day, Amanda serves as the Ethics Education and Cultural Engagement Lead for Canadian Physicians for Life. She is also the founder of Dying to Meet You, a project of cultural renewal to prevent euthanasia and encourage hope.
