"At St. Bernard’s, my primary teaching is in the area of moral theology. I teach the Contemporary Moral Theology course in both Rochester and Albany. Contemporary moral theology is an area of intense interest in today’s church, and each class session provides a chance for students to understand, question, and explore their own approach to current church teachings on moral matters. Students committed to a career in ministry use the opportunity to shape not only their professional and intellectual approach to moral issues, but also discover what their personal and spiritual stance will be regarding the issues discussed. For me, it is a wonderful opportunity to watch my own excitement around these topics spread to the students as they deepen their appreciation of the complexity and beauty of the Catholic moral tradition."
