"Teaching at Saint Bernard’s is a wonderful, exciting experience. Yes, we have a gorgeous building and state of the art materials, but what fulfills me personally as an educator is the students. The students enter the classroom with enthusiasm for learning and energy for the theological, spiritual, and ministerial journey ahead of them. It is especially fulfilling to hear them bring their human experience to bear upon their discussions, their writing, and their intellectual life. While they learn from me, I also learn from them. Many students stay in touch after graduation and it is a thrill to see them integrating what they learned and lived at St. Bernard’s into their parish, classroom, hospital, youth group, law office, volunteer ministry and countless other milieu’s."
